A rewireable "fuse box" or consumer unit is central to any homes electrical installation and should provide vital safety features to help project you and your home from electric shock, burns, equipment damage and potential fires developing, even within concealed locations.

Modern day consumer units may contain some of the following:

Examples of equipment prone to damage maybe TV's, computers, games consoles and washing machines of which contain circuit boards, These currents can originate from the likes of EV chargers, heat pumps or nearby lighting strikes.

AFDD's - Arc Fault Detection Devices provide protection against fire which can develop from arc faults. These maybe caused by loose wiring connections, breakages in cabling or worn connections within old appliances.
