All electrical installation works carried out shall be accompanied with an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Electrical Installation Certificate (MWEIC).
As electrical installations deteriorate over age and use, this and unsafe installation works can cause risks of electrical shock to people and livestock, along with the risk of fire to property. By requesting for an Electrical Installation Report (EICR) to be carried out, it will verify if the electrical installation remains safe for continued use, or if there is a requirement for some remedial work to those parts of the installation deemed unsafe. Since 1st June 2020, EICR's have also become a mandatory requirement to all private and commercial landlords every five years, or change of occupancy. To ensure transparency and customer confidence, all non-satisfactory EICR's carried out be shall accompanied by images of any items that do not meet the minimum requirements set out by BS7671. A quotation to repair these items can be provided, but the customer reserves the right for alternate quotations and it is carried out within 28 days.
For unskilled DIYer's or those who do not hold the relevant qualifications to issue the relevant certification for the electrical work they intend to carry out. we can assist and provide Third-Party Certification (TPC) which shall meet building regulations.
